Amadou Bagayoko and Miriam Doumbia met when they performed with a troupe of performers representing the Institute For Young Blind People in their native Mali. They married and carved out a degree of success through a series of cassette releases in west Africa. Now signed to Universal they went to France where they recorded with a multi- national collection of players, using instrumentation from many sources to achieve a distinctive sound.
